WALES – A HISTORY IN BONDAGE
Startling Discoveries… WAS A MUST SEE EVENT!!
What do you say about an ancient civilization that thrives until this day but has virtually been ignored by most of the world? Its history ignored, degraded, and mischaracterized, with the effect of biased, one-sided and plain just unrepresented assessment, from what is considered authoritative establishments; and for unjustifiable reasons?
If you don’t believe it, just look at the present day Union Jack of what’s known as the United Kingdom; then ask yourself which of the distinct red and blue diagonal, horizontal and vertical colors represent Wales? The fact is none of these do, yet we the Welsh, the original ‘Britons’ provided the term ‘Great Britain’ which has become stereotyped to mean ‘English’. Yet with further evidence given it is not too uncommon to hear, “Wales? Yes, isn’t that in England and where Prince Harry is from?” When real truth is discovered, 500 A. D. Wales is known as Cymru, and it encompasses most of this ancient island. After the Romans were kicked out by Welsh King Euddaf in 322 A. D., other foreign dwellers such as the Germanic Norman-Saxon occupants dwelled in the extreme and slim eastern shore region. Combine other factions such as the Angles centuries later, they eventually became known as ‘English’ and ‘England’.
Later and through the following centuries this would turn into suppression against the majority ancient ‘Cymric’ dwellers by a London monarchy to the point that their native language ‘Cymraeg’ was forbidden; and as late as the end of the 19th century. Despite this entire rule decreed by a foreign monarchy, the language and cultural institutions flourished throughout time and continues to do so. The Christian philosophy of the Welsh for the most part differed greatly from the state religion set forth by the monarchy because of the Welsh translation of the Holy Bible from the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts.
Despite the heavy handed one sided and biased portrayal of the accepted historical analogy of this land, it does not in any way shape or form lend to the truth of what is real or what is factually correct concerning these ancient of days. This is particularly true when most of the information of the day was derived from languages other than ‘Cymraeg’ or ‘Welsh’ as we know it today, but from sources that either originated from Latin or later English that originated from the higher English institutions of learning such as Cambridge or Oxford Universities. Again, many times the uncovered history of the ancient ‘Britons’ and the ‘Cymry’ vary greatly from what is commonly known and generally excepted because it is mostly written in the original language of the ‘English’ race.
That’s why were we objectively examine misinformation, the myths, and distortions and with parallel evidence that these historical components all fit with the element of truth. This is where will introduce a Welsh born Michael Romanko who now lives within Northeastern Pennsylvania. For many decades, Michael has been a passionate observer and collector of these contradictory historical discoveries that favor the Welsh argument over the other challenges throughout the centuries. He has accumulated documented facts that were investigated by Welsh historians and examiners namely Alan Wilson, Baram Blackett, and many others who conclude that Welsh history has been perverted over time and that the truth must be made known. Wilson including others has spent a lifetime indulging in various forms of research to verify the accuracy of their claims. And for some odd reason, someone wants these people dead as threats and acts of terrorism have been made against their lives. To illustrate, Blackett laid in a coma for 10-14 days after a bomb was detonated in his house. Also a jackhammer was thrown from the back of a moving van while Wilson and Blackett was driving on a major motorway in Wales. It was done with such strategic planning, that the vehicle would either hit the obstruction or force the vehicle over an embankment to avoid crashing into the intended obstacle. Also the police did little or nothing about it, which raises many more questions.
Through these amazing findings, most people will begin to realize that as far back as ancient Egypt, with relevance to the Holy Lands and especially with the Romans, Wales was for some reason was very important to these primordial civilizations and cultures. Consequently, it is evident that sacred artifacts from these distant lands are known to exist here. Also, artifacts from the Tennessee and Kentucky areas emanating from the 6th century that are eventually discovered in Wales further confirms phenomenal realities. This and much more was discussed.
No doubt in the minds of many, these discussions and these discoveries will lead to more questions. And no doubt the major question at hand is “why hasn’t this information been recognized by the mainstream educational institutions and media?” But perhaps what we discuss will also uncover a greater appreciation of why the culture of ancient and modern Wales falls in the shadows of ‘English’ and ‘British’ branding of domination. Leaving with this thought; what is further intriguing was the fact that people of the ancient Holy Lands and surroundings were more than just captivated with Wales!

Parade of Trees Advancing Welsh Awareness
The 20th annual Parade of Trees is once again under way at Grotto Pizza, Harveys Lake, PA with a Christmas tree competition for the benefit of various area charities. Grotto Pizza was founded at this location in 1953 by Joseph A. Paglianite a Dallas resident, and over several decades expanded his operation to 20 restaurants in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Paglianite says their Harveys Lake Pennsylvania sponsored event has generated more than $140,000 for charities in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Joe, known for his sharp wit and humor, stated that his Welsh ancestry comes from Calabria Italy, which he knows is close to Wales. Even at age 88 he admits that it’s hard to stay away from the day-to-day activity of his business and is still actively involved.
Again, this year’s sponsor of the Welsh tree is Attorney John H. Kennedy of Harveys Lake, who is a well-respected and highly recommended personal injury law practitioner. Kennedy is also proud in the fact that he is Welsh through his mother the former Marian Jones. Kennedy boasts that his grandfather John Henry Jones for many years had a tailoring shop located in the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre, which was predominately Welsh. The Welsh Cultural Endeavor of Northeastern Pennsylvania is again honored to have ‘one of our own’ to sponsor this Christmas season.
Typically, a business sponsors one of about two dozen or more trees for $150 and Grotto dedicates half of the entry fee to the desired charity. Organizers and friends adorned the tree with Welsh artifacts such as love spoons, Welsh phrased ornaments, pewter statues of St. David, his banners, Y Ddraig Goch flags for the sixth year in a row. At the base of the tree there is a manger (only one of two displayed), a recent copy of the organization’s DVD titled Pwy Sydd Fel Nyni? – Neb! or Who Is Like Us? – Nobody! Placed next to the tree is a mailbox marked CYMRU which displays website contact information, DVD order forms, and information of interesting upcoming Welsh events are placed under the tree.
The program is a win-win situation for everyone involved; the restaurant draws crowds and additional revenue to supplement their off-season, the business sponsor receives media publicity, and the charity receives recognition as patrons donate money to their selected favorite and deposit an envelope in a box. Half of the entry fee goes to the charity and the other half goes to a pool. At the end of the Parade of Trees, the top three winners (based on total dollars raised) share the pool among the charities they are supporting.
The Welsh Cultural Endeavor of Northeastern Pennsylvania was founded by Dr. William L. Nash, III and George C. Horwatt in 2006 for the purpose of recognizing Welsh identity and accomplishment in all northeastern counties of Pennsylvania which were very diverse. They will be using the donations to cover expenses incurred in the upgrade and expansion of their website www.welshculturnepa.org and for the development for new planned events.
